Submitted By: Mark Date: 20 July 2001
Bike: Ducati 500 Pantah Round Trip km: +- 220 Km's
Venue: Magnolia Dell Breakfast Cost: +- R26.00
Rating (1 - 5): 5 Status: Unverified
Departure From: Anywhere really, but the route Mark submitted starts from The William Nicol off-ramp
Route Type: All Bikes
Comments: On the first Sunday of the month, it is the meeting place of the Classic Motorcycle Club.

The breakfast and service is better than the one you get at a well known venue in Magaliesberg.
Outward Bound: Take the William Nichol off-ramp to Fourways Mall, take the Cedar Road Route towards Lanseria. Then the normal route to Cosmos, stop off there for a quick breather, look at the bikes.

Then coming out of Cosmos, turn right on the main road to the fourway stop, carry on straight through towards the north. Follow the road to a T-junction with the R514. Turn right into the R514 and take the first left into the R513. Follow this road for all the way, be careful of a few tight high speed bends, to a T-junction with the M17.

Turn right into the M17 and follow the road upto the pass at Hornsnek and down the other side to van der Hoff road R514, turn left into van der Hoff, turn right into Bremer R55 and ride through the Daspoort Tunnel into Transoranje road R55.

Follow the road all the way to a T-junction turn left into Quagga and right into Roger Dyason and ride past Iskor towards Eeufees and the Fountains.

Go underneath the highway and turn left up towards the Fountains circle (beware of speed traps in all three lanes it is a 80km/h zone), take George Storrar Road past the SABS building, take the left past Harlequins Sports Grounds and then  turn left into Koningin Wilhelmina. Ride down towards Magnolia Dell Park on the righthand side.

Going Home: From Magnolia Dell, you can go back the way you came or head out to the Ben Schoeman Highway at Fountains.  Take the Krugersdorp Highway bck to Randburg or else stay on the Ben Schoemena to go to JHB central or East Rand.
